Meet The Staff!

Julie Ann

I live in Dallas Texas and am married to a photographer.
We have four, 4 legged kids!

I am a professional support staff at a college library
and am working towards obtaining my Masters Degree in Library Science.

My husband nicknamed me The Beauty Pirate because
I'm always searching out the best steals and deals.

I am an obsessive reader, lover of film, and amateur chef.
I have been sewing, crafting and creating since I was a child
and I am thrilled at the renaissance of independent businesses!

Maria

My name is Maria and I host a blog called Maria's Space, which I started in 2005.
I had just had my second baby and was a stay at home mom
in a town where I didn't know anyone.
After living on 3 broken hours of sleep and feeling as if I were losing my mind,
I found out that a friend had started a blog.
I tried to comment and thought that I had to have one in order to do so. So, I started one too.
The end of 2008 I received a product review through a group.
The next thing I know I get more reviews and sponsors want
me to give products away too. I am surprised, shocked and so happy that companies contact me
to review their products and offer them up to my readers who have become friends.
My favorite items to review have been books, DVDs, toys (anything for my kids actually) and food.
Love when sponsors send me food!
I live and breathe for my kids and love when they can be part
of my review process. They think the UPS guy is
Santa Claus because he is always dropping a box off.
I love making new friends and am always in a good mood.
Not much gets me down. My attitude is, Live Let Live and I practice it every day.

I'm a mom to 4 boys and that should be enough in life,
but I'm very driven and love to work online.

I own a few websites...It's Raining Reviews, The Candle Buzz, The Bath Buzz,
The Out Of The Box Sampler, Ugly Duckling Designs, The Rusty Rooster Hosting,
and a couple more that are in the works...The Barn Door Post, Compliment The Chef, and On The Craft Table!

Beside's that, I am also a music teacher.
I teach piano lessons at a music store and I'm also the Kindergarten thru 6th grade music education teacher at Cheswick Christian Academy.

To say I'm busy is an understatement!
But I absolutely love all things handmade.
Being able to spread the word to others about the "little" guy's in business, is what makes me happy!
